Opening spring of 2022, Discovery Park’s state-of-the-art educational greenhouse will be unlike anything currently in the region. Included will be a two greenhouses, an outdoor education pavilion, raised beds, composting area and more. The 250,000 annual visitors at Discovery Park will be exposed to graphics, lesson plans and interactive learning opportunities focused on: • Processes of plants, soil and growing • Building design and energy transfer • Light and seasonal changes • Seasons and growing cycles • The business of farming • Garden to table curriculum • Globally responsible farming • Nutrition education. A gift of $100.00 or more insures your name will be listed on the sponsorship wall as a “Green Thumb” supporter.
